Ingredients

  • 1½ lb salmon fillets
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 6 clove garlic
  • 1 lemon
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley (optional)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Melt olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear salmon skin-side down for 3-4 minutes until crispy.
  3. Flip salmon. Add butter to the skillet, allowing it to melt. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Squeeze the juice of half a lemon over the salmon and spoon the garlic butter sauce over the fillets.
  5. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 8-12 minutes, or until salmon is cooked through and flakes easily.
  6. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve immediately with remaining lemon wedges.
