Garlic Butter Shrimp
Quick and succulent shrimp bathed in a rich garlic butter sauce, perfect for a speedy weeknight meal.
Ingredients
- 1½ lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- 6 clove garlic
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- ¼ cup fresh parsley (optional)
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- ¾ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
Steps
- Pat shrimp dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using), and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add shrimp to the skillet in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque.
- Stir in lemon juice and fresh parsley. Toss to coat the shrimp evenly.
- Serve immediately, optionally with rice or pasta.
