Glazed Ham Dinner
A classic holiday centerpiece, this glazed ham dinner features a succulent ham coated in a sweet and tangy glaze, perfect for a festive meal.
Ingredients
- 4 lb bone-in smoked ham
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp whole cloves (optional)
- 4 pineapple rings (optional)
- 4 maraschino cherries (optional)
Steps
- Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Score the ham in a diamond pattern, about 1/4 inch deep.
- In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, Dijon mustard, honey, and apple cider vinegar. Cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves and mixture thickens slightly, about 5 minutes.
- Place the ham in a roasting pan. If desired, stud the ham with whole cloves and secure pineapple rings and cherries with toothpicks.
- Brush about half of the glaze over the ham. Roast for 1.5-2 hours, or until an internal temperature of 140°F (60°C) is reached, basting with remaining glaze every 15-20 minutes during the last hour of cooking.
- Remove ham from oven, tent loosely with foil, and let rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing and serving.
