Grilled Ribeye Steak
A perfectly grilled ribeye steak, seasoned simply to highlight its rich, beefy flavor.
Ingredients
- 2 lb ribeye steak
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp kosher salt
- 1½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
- 2 sprig fresh rosemary (optional)
Steps
- Pat the ribeye steaks dry with paper towels.
- Rub steaks with olive oil, then season generously with salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder.
- Preheat a grill to high heat (450-500F) and clean the grates.
- Place steaks on the hot grill. For medium-rare, grill 4-5 minutes per side. For medium, grill 5-6 minutes per side.
- For crosshatch marks, rotate steaks 45 degrees halfway through each side's cooking time.
- Remove steaks from grill and let rest on a cutting board for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve whole or sliced against the grain, optionally garnished with fresh rosemary.
