Ground Beef and Green Bean Casserole
A hearty and comforting casserole featuring seasoned ground beef, tender green beans, and a creamy mushroom sauce, topped with crispy fried onions.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 16 oz green beans, fresh or frozen
- 10½ oz cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tbsp soy sauce (optional)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 2.8 oz fried onions (crispy)
Steps
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce (if using), salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder into the skillet with the beef. Mix well.
- Pour the mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until heated through and bubbly.
- Remove from oven, sprinkle the crispy fried onions evenly over the top.
- Return to oven and bake for another 5-7 minutes, or until the fried onions are golden brown.
- Serve hot.
