Ingredients

  • 2 lb Ham steaks, bone-in or boneless
  • ½ cup Brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Water
  • ¼ tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Steps

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, water, and black pepper to create the glaze.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add ham steaks to the hot skillet and cook for 3-5 minutes per side, until lightly browned and heated through.
  4. Pour the brown sugar glaze over the ham steaks in the skillet. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, spooning the glaze over the ham, until the glaze thickens slightly and coats the ham.
  5. Remove ham steaks from the skillet and let rest for a few minutes.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, and serve immediately.
