A delightful balance of sweet and savory, this Honey Garlic Chicken features tender chicken pieces coated in a sticky, flavorful glaze, perfect for a weeknight meal.
Ingredients
- 1½ lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup honey
- 4 clove garlic
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)
- 2 green onions (optional)
Steps
- Cut chicken thighs into 1-inch pieces.
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
- In a small cup, dissolve cornstarch in water to create a slurry. Add to the sauce mixture and whisk until combined.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken and bring to a simmer. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken, about 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions, if desired. Serve immediately with rice or noodles.
