Honey Mustard Baked Chicken
This simple yet flavorful dish features tender chicken baked to perfection in a sweet and tangy honey mustard glaze.
Ingredients
- 1½ lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- ¼ cup honey
- ¼ cup Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Steps
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, Dijon mustard, olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper to create the honey mustard sauce.
- Place chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet. Pour about half of the honey mustard sauce over the chicken, ensuring it's evenly coated.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
- During the last 5-7 minutes of baking, brush the remaining sauce over the chicken.
- Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, and serve.
