Kielbasa and Cabbage Skillet
A hearty and comforting one-pan meal featuring savory kielbasa sausage, tender cabbage, and potatoes.
Ingredients
- 14 oz Smoked Kielbasa Sausage
- 1 head Green Cabbage
- 1 Yellow Onion
- 1½ lb Potatoes
- 2 clove Garlic
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar (optional)
- ½ tsp Salt
- ¼ tsp Black Pepper
- 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley (optional)
Steps
- Slice the kielbasa into 1/2-inch thick rounds. Quarter the cabbage and slice into 1/2-inch ribbons. Dice the onion and potatoes into 1/2-inch pieces. Mince the garlic.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add kielbasa and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove kielbasa and set aside, leaving rendered fat in the skillet.
- Add potatoes and onion to the skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, until potatoes begin to soften and brown, about 8-10 minutes.
- Stir in the cabbage and garlic. Cook, stirring frequently, until cabbage wilts and becomes tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- Return the kielbasa to the skillet. Add salt and pepper, and apple cider vinegar if using. Stir to combine and heat through for 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, and serve immediately.
