One-Pot Ground Beef and Pasta
A hearty and comforting one-pot meal featuring seasoned ground beef, pasta, and a rich tomato sauce, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion
- 2 clove garlic
- 14½ oz canned diced tomatoes
- 15 oz tomato sauce
- 3 cup beef broth
- 8 oz elbow macaroni
- 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley (optional)
Steps
- Brown the ground beef in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot with the beef. Cook until the onion is softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, elbow macaroni, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until the pasta is al dente and most of the liquid has been absorbed, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and let stand for a few minutes. If desired, stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
- Garnish with fresh parsley, if using, and serve hot.
