Quick and easy, this pan-seared tilapia features tender fish with a crispy exterior, perfect for a light and healthy meal.
Ingredients
- 1½ lb tilapia fillets
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lemon
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp paprika
- ¾ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley (optional)
Steps
- Pat tilapia fillets dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Season both sides of the tilapia fillets generously with the spice mixture.
- Heat olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Carefully place fillets in the hot skillet, ensuring not to overcrowd. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the fish flakes easily with a fork.
