Pecan-Crusted Tilapia
Flaky tilapia fillets are coated in a crunchy pecan crust and baked to a golden perfection, offering a delightful texture and nutty flavor.
Ingredients
- 1½ lb tilapia fillets
- 1 cup pecans
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 egg
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 lemon
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley (optional)
Steps
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Finely chop the pecans. In a shallow dish, combine the chopped pecans, flour, salt, and pepper.
- In another shallow dish, whisk the eggs with Dijon mustard.
- Dip each tilapia fillet first into the egg mixture, then dredge in the pecan mixture, pressing to coat well.
- Melt butter and drizzle over the crusted fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish is flaky and the crust is golden brown.
- Garnish with fresh lemon wedges and chopped parsley, if desired, before serving.
