Philly Cheesesteak Pizza
Enjoy the classic flavors of a Philly cheesesteak on a delicious pizza, complete with tender steak, onions, peppers, and melted cheese.
Ingredients
- 1 lb pizza dough
- 1 lb shaved steak
- 1 yellow onion
- 1 green bell pepper
- 8 oz provolone cheese
- 4 oz mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Steps
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Slice the onion and bell pepper into thin strips.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced onion and bell pepper and cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes. Remove vegetables from the skillet and set aside.
- Add the shaved steak to the same skillet and cook, breaking it apart, until browned and cooked through, about 3-5 minutes. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface or pizza pan. Arrange the provolone cheese slices evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
- Spread the cooked steak, onions, and bell peppers over the provolone. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 12-18 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and melted. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
