Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ head cabbage
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 can canned crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp butter

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain excess fat and set beef aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter. Add chopped onion and shredded cabbage. Cook until softened, about 8-10 minutes.
  4. Return beef to the skillet with the cabbage and onions. Stir in garlic powder, salt, pepper, and beef broth. Mix well.
  5. Spread the beef and cabbage mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Unroll the crescent roll dough and place it over the cheese layer, pinching seams together to form a solid crust.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the crescent roll crust is golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
