Ingredients

  • 2½ lb chuck roast
  • 1 oz ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 oz au jus gravy mix
  • ½ stick butter
  • 8 pepperoncini peppers
  • ¼ cup pepperoncini juice
  • ½ tsp salt (optional)
  • ¼ tsp black pepper (optional)

Steps

  1. Season the chuck roast with salt and pepper, if desired.
  2. Place the chuck roast in the slow cooker.
  3. Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix and au jus gravy mix over the roast.
  4. Place the butter on top of the roast.
  5. Add the pepperoncini peppers and pour the pepperoncini juice around the roast.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the roast is fork-tender.
  7. Shred the pot roast with two forks directly in the slow cooker with the juices.
