Syrian Spaghetti
A comforting baked pasta dish featuring spaghetti coated in a rich tomato sauce seasoned with a hint of cinnamon, baked until golden and slightly crunchy.
Ingredients
- 16 oz spaghetti
- 8 oz tomato sauce
- 6 oz tomato paste
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package directions until al dente; drain well.
- In a large bowl, combine the drained spaghetti with tomato sauce, tomato paste, cinnamon, vegetable oil, salt, and pepper. Stir until the spaghetti is evenly coated.
- Transfer the seasoned spaghetti to the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until the top is crunchy and golden brown.
- Serve hot.
