Taco Salad
A refreshing and satisfying salad featuring seasoned ground beef, crisp lettuce, and all your favorite taco fixings.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 tbsp taco seasoning
- ¼ cup water
- 6 cup romaine lettuce
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes
- 15 oz black beans
- 15 oz corn
- 1 cup cheddar cheese
- ½ cup sour cream (optional)
- ½ cup salsa (optional)
- 1 avocado (optional)
- 2 cup tortilla chips (optional)
Steps
- Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in taco seasoning and water. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, or until the liquid has reduced and the meat is well coated.
- While the beef cooks, chop lettuce and halve cherry tomatoes. Rinse and drain black beans and corn.
- Divide lettuce among four bowls. Top with seasoned ground beef, tomatoes, black beans, corn, and shredded cheddar cheese.
- Serve with sour cream, salsa, sliced avocado, and crushed tortilla chips, if desired.
