Tuna Noodle Casserole
A comforting classic, this tuna noodle casserole features tender egg noodles, flaky tuna, and peas in a creamy sauce, all baked to golden perfection.
Ingredients
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 12 oz canned tuna in water
- 10½ oz cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup milk
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 cup cheddar cheese
- ½ cup bread crumbs
- 2 tbsp butter
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Steps
- Preheat oven to 375 0F (190 0C). Cook egg noodles according to package directions, then drain.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked noodles, drained tuna, cream of mushroom soup, milk, peas, half of the cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Pour the mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a small bowl, melt butter and toss with bread crumbs and remaining cheddar cheese. Sprinkle evenly over the casserole.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until bubbly and the topping is golden brown.
- Let stand for a few minutes before serving.
