Tuna Noodle Casserole

A comforting classic, this tuna noodle casserole features tender egg noodles, flaky tuna, and peas in a creamy sauce, all baked to golden perfection.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 12 oz canned tuna in water
  • 10½ oz cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup bread crumbs
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 375 0F (190 0C). Cook egg noodles according to package directions, then drain.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cooked noodles, drained tuna, cream of mushroom soup, milk, peas, half of the cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Pour the mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  4. In a small bowl, melt butter and toss with bread crumbs and remaining cheddar cheese. Sprinkle evenly over the casserole.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until bubbly and the topping is golden brown.
  6. Let stand for a few minutes before serving.
