Ingredients

  • 1 lb sushi-grade tuna
  • 3 cup cooked sushi rice
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger
  • 4 green onions
  • 1 cucumber
  • 2 avocado
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
  • 1 tsp sriracha (optional)
  • 4 oz seaweed salad (optional)

Steps

  1. Dice the sushi-grade tuna into 1/2-inch cubes.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, grated ginger, and sliced green onions.
  3. Add the diced tuna to the sauce mixture and gently toss to coat. Let marinate for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Divide the cooked sushi rice among four serving bowls.
  5. Arrange the marinated tuna over the rice in each bowl.
  6. Slice the cucumber and avocado, then arrange them alongside the tuna in each bowl.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds, a drizzle of sriracha, and a side of seaweed salad if desired, then serve immediately.
