Turkey Divan
A classic comfort food, Turkey Divan features tender turkey and broccoli florets baked in a creamy, cheesy sauce, often topped with breadcrumbs.
Ingredients
- 1½ lb cooked turkey breast, shredded or diced
- 1½ lb broccoli florets, fresh or frozen
- 10½ oz cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- ½ tsp curry powder
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- ½ cup bread crumbs (optional)
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Steps
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Steam or boil broccoli florets until tender-crisp, about 5-7 minutes. Drain well and arrange in the prepared baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup, mayonnaise, milk, lemon juice, curry powder, salt, and pepper. Stir in the shredded turkey.
- Pour the turkey mixture evenly over the broccoli in the baking dish. Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
- If desired, combine melted butter and bread crumbs, then sprinkle over the cheese layer.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and heated through. If using breadcrumbs, bake until golden brown.
- Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
