Turkey Sloppy Joes

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 medium onion
- 1 medium green bell pepper
- 2 clove garlic
- ¾ cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- ½ tsp chili powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Steps
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add ground turkey and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in diced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic. Cook until vegetables soften, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add ketchup, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, chili powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
- Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
- Serve the sloppy joe mixture warm on hamburger buns.
