Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 medium green bell pepper
  • 2 clove garlic
  • ¾ cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Steps

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add ground turkey and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in diced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic. Cook until vegetables soften, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add ketchup, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, chili powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet.
  5. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
