Turkish Chicken Wings with Cumin, Lemon & Garlic
Crispy baked or grilled chicken wings marinated in a zesty, savory blend of cumin, lemon, and garlic, finished with a touch of honey.
Ingredients
- 12 chicken wings
- 2 clove garlic
- 1 lemon
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp honey
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Steps
- Cut each chicken wing at the knuckle into two pieces.
- In a large bowl, combine minced garlic, lemon zest and juice, cumin seeds, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss to coat thoroughly. Cover and marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour, or overnight.
- Preheat oven to 200C (400F). Arrange marinated chicken wings on an oven tray.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes.
- Drizzle honey over the wings and bake for another 10 minutes until crisp and cooked through.
- Serve hot with optional sides like olives, dates, or flatbreads.
