Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 oz taco seasoning mix
  • ½ cup water
  • 4 corn chips (single serving bags)
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup sour cream (optional)
  • ½ cup salsa (optional)
  • ¼ cup sliced jalapeños (optional)

Steps

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain any excess grease.
  2. Add taco seasoning mix and water to the skillet with the beef. Stir well and simmer for 5-7 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
  3. Prepare toppings: shred lettuce, dice tomatoes, and gather cheese, sour cream, salsa, and jalapeños.
  4. Open each single-serving bag of corn chips along the side. Gently crush the chips slightly inside the bag.
  5. Spoon about 1/2 cup of the seasoned ground beef into each bag of chips.
  6. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheddar cheese. Add sour cream, salsa, or jalapeños if desired, and serve directly from the bag with a fork.
