Ingredients

  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 12 oz canned tuna
  • 10½ oz cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese (optional)
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (optional)
  • 1 tbsp butter (optional)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook egg noodles according to package directions; drain well.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cooked noodles, drained tuna, cream of mushroom soup, milk, peas, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
  3. Pour the mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish. If using, sprinkle with shredded cheese.
  4. For a crispy topping, melt butter and toss with breadcrumbs, then sprinkle over the casserole.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until bubbly and heated through. If using breadcrumbs, bake until golden brown.
  6. Let stand for a few minutes before serving.
